We are recruiting for:
- 1 x Career Medical Officer – Medical
- 1 x Career Medical Officer – Rehabilitation
These positions would suit doctors looking to establish themselves in a permanent hospital-based role while continuing to develop their clinical skills within an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The RolesCareer Medical Officer – Medical The Medical CMO will provide high-quality clinical care to hospital inpatients within a general medical setting.
Responsibilities will include:
- Comprehensive patient assessment and clinical management
- Development and implementation of patient management plans
- Ongoing review of inpatients
- Liaison with consultant medical staff and other treating teams
- Coordination of care with nursing and allied health professionals
- Recognition and management of acute clinical deterioration
- Accurate clinical documentation and handover
Career Medical Officer – Rehabilitation The Rehabilitation CMO will provide medical care to patients undergoing rehabilitation, working closely with rehabilitation physicians, nursing staff and allied health professionals.
The role will involve:
- Medical assessment and ongoing management of rehabilitation patients
- Monitoring progress and responding to changing clinical needs
- Supporting multidisciplinary rehabilitation planning
- Working closely with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing and other allied health teams
- Liaising with specialists and other medical teams as required
- Contributing to safe discharge planning and continuity of care
About You We are keen to hear from doctors who have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Appropriate Australian medical qualifications
- Previous hospital or inpatient clinical experience
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative and patient-focused approach
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- An interest in General Medicine or Rehabilitation Medicine
